The 23-year-old striker of French outfit Lille, Jonathan David, is once again becoming a target of AC Milan in the upcoming summer transfer window, as per Tuttosport.
Milan have been keeping a close eye on David ever since his impressive displays for Gent in Belgium. This season, the Canadian forward has been in fine form for Lille, finding the back of the net on 21 occasions and providing 4 assists in 31 outings across the French Ligue 1 and French Cup, playing under the guidance of Paulo Fonseca.
With this in mind, AC Milan are keen to add David to their ranks, following successful acquisitions of Rafael Leão back in 2019 and Mike Maignan in 2021, both signed from Lille. Although their attempts to bring in Sven Botman and Renato Sanches, also from Lille, in 2022 were ultimately in vain, they remain undeterred in their pursuit of David.
The newspaper suggests that the deal could command a fee in the region of 40 to 50 million euros, given that the youngster's contract with Lille doesn't expire until June 30, 2025.
