Spalletti's Napoli returned to winning ways against Lecce after the heavy defeat against AC Milan. The Azzurri won 1-2 with an own goal from Lecce's Antonio Gallo and also Giovanni Di Lorenzo. However, they lost striker Giovanni Simeone to injury.
This is not good news for the Napoli coach and fans as their star Victor Osimhen is still not in an ideal condition after his injury a few weeks ago.
Luciano Spalletti may have to consider another alternative against AC Milan in the Champions League first leg game of the quarter-finals at San Siro because Simeone's injury may not be a small matter.
This is what was communicated by the Napoli club:
"Osimhen has done individual work on the pitch and in the gym. Simeone has received therapies. Raspadori has done individual work on the pitch."
The Nigerian striker is recovering from his muscle problem and would like to play against Milan in the Champions League. The caution of the Azzurri staff is great because risking him would be dangerous given the important end of the season, as per PazziDiFanta.com
Alternative options may be limited as Simeone's injury sustained against Lecce appears to be of considerable concern. The likely replacement is Raspadori, who played for about an hour against Lecce, followed by Kvaratskhelia, who took on the false nine role alongside Politano and Elmas on the wings.
