After the victory in the first leg of the Champions League's quarter-final against Napoli, AC Milan's captain Davide Calabria has spoken to Prime Video and said these words:
"Throughout the match, the referee kept telling me and Di Lorenzo that the VAR was working and then not working, and it was confusing. It seemed like a penalty to me, so at the end of the game, I went to ask for an explanation. The fourth official was the one who pushed me away, and I don't understand why I, as the captain, can't speak. I received a rather stupid yellow card, but I don't understand... It seems pretty pointless to talk about a caution that was not warranted."
He added:
"It's still early, and there is still work to be done. The work is not finished yet. We know what their stadium is like and how their fans are. Tonight we felt our stadium; it was hard to talk to each other. They are a strong team, and we will start with the desire to win the next game, even though nothing is decided yet, unfortunately. Now we need to rest as we play again in two days. There is little to talk about. We need to prepare mentally and physically as it's a very intense period."
