AC Milan's Spanish playmaker, Brahim Diaz, who is on loan from Real Madrid, has granted an interview to Spanish newspaper Marca. He talked about the derby among other topics. Here are his statements below:
"We have already faced them many times... It will be a crazy game, with many duels and where we will see which colors dominate the city. It will be exciting, for sure. Is there tension? We have had many consecutive 'finals' and we have had little time to think. But since we know that we will face Inter, there is a derby atmosphere. It is palpable and people want the day of the game to arrive. It is considered a very important game, or rather two, but this also represents a Champions League semifinal."
On the differences between the Milan and Madrid derbies:
"In the end, they are two derbies between teams used to always winning. In Milan, everything is very passionate. Football is life. Milan and Inter are two great teams that always want more and want to stand tall to say: 'I am from this team and this team rules the city.' It will be a battle, without a doubt."
On Rafael Leao:
"He is a great player, with an incredible physique. Depending on the movement I make, I give him the ball on his foot or in space. You always have to give it to him because he is unstoppable in the game. We are friends, we talk a lot and this makes everything easier. As soon as I turn around, I look at him immediately to try to create danger. He is very fast. Is he similar to Vinicius? They have something in common, and that is that they are both great players, besides the fact that both start from the left."
On the number 10 shirt at AC Milan, Brahim Diaz said:
"It's something incredible, an honor, something very special for its value. I know all those who have worn it and it fills me with pride, but I also like to have that pressure of always having to take one more step. In Milan, the 10s have been worn by Ballon d'Or winners, players who have marked an era. For me, it is an honor to wear Milan's number 10."
On his future, he said:
"Now I am focused on Milan. I want to be at my best, 100 percent. A very important game is approaching, and now I only think about giving my best."
