According to this morning’s print edition of Tuttosport, the centre midfield and attacking positions at AC Milan are being kept under the scope at Casa Milan. The newspaper mentioned a few names as candidates to reinforce coach Stefano Pioli‘s team.
For the central midfielder position, AC Milan are keen on signing Davide Frattesi from Sassuolo, although his valuation seems to be out of reach at the moment.
As for the attacking midfielder, Tommaso Baldanzi and Nicolò Zaniolo are still hot prospects. Baldanzi has had a breakthrough season with Empoli and is currently participating in the Under-20 World Cup. Zaniolo, on the other hand, has been a long-time target for Milan, with previous attempts made in January right before moving to Galatasaray in Turkey.
In terms of strengthening the attack, AC Milan is considering several Italian options. The possibility of Gianluca Scamacca from West Ham as the centre-forward role remains alive. Another name that has emerged is the Italian-Argentinian Lucas Beltran from River Plate. Additionally, there is attention given to the potential return of Stephan El Shaarawy to the Rossoneri. While his priority is renewing his contract with Roma, if no proposal from the Giallorossi arrives (which hasn’t happened yet), he will also consider the option of joining Milan, where he would serve as a backup to Leao.
