AC Milan are initiating a new phase with the sacking of Paolo Maldini (Frederic Massara's exit should be announced today). With the departure of the two directors, RedBird has decided to include a new name at the club.
According to a report shared by the Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, Gerry Cardinale will be relying on the services Billy Beane who is a 61-year-old baseball guru from the Oakland Athletics (Read more about moneyball here). He will be the new consultant for AC Milan in the transfer market window.
On Monday, after meeting with Maldini, Gerry Cardinale met with Billy Beane himself, along with CEO Giorgio Furlani.
