Paolo Scaroni, AC Milan's president, has granted an interview to the microphones of Corriere della Sera. He spoke firstly about the departure of club legend Paolo Maldini. Here are his words:
"All of us, and especially myself, all have a great relationship with Paolo Maldini. He is a gentleman and attached to Milan. But, we follow an innovative pattern, at least for Italy, in club management, which leads us to consider all our activities as collegiate: we work as a team."
Scaroni added:
"This is an organizational model that is very dear to our shareholder, who, let's remember, it's a sports specialist with successes in his activities, so when he suggests something to us, we pay great attention because we believe it brings innovations. In this organisation, we had the impression that Paolo felt uncomfortable, and when one feels uncomfortable, it is better to separate."
