AC Milan's CEO Giorgio Furlani and chief of scouts Geoffrey Moncada are trying to build the Rossoneri's market starting from 'player trading'. They let go of an important player like Tonali, but with that cash, they are ready to bring in different players who will add quality to the team. La Gazzetta dello sport highlighted the situation and wrote that two players are in the radar of the management.
First, there is Yunus Musah who is a concrete idea. The Italian newspaper writes that the club and the player have already reached a preliminary agreement of around 2 million euros per season. However, the real game is played with Valencia, which needs to sell but does not intend to give players away: the initial request from the Spanish club is 25 million euros, and the Rossoneri are confident that they can lower the demands by at least 5 million euros. The operation is feasible: the player is liked by Pioli for his physical contribution, and his Italian childhood is also a factor that can be decisive.
The other name for the midfield, which does not exclude Musah's name, comes from the Netherlands: Tijjani Reijnders, 24 years old. This morning, Gazzetta emphasizes that the player's willingness to wear the Milan shirt (as we told you exclusively) next season could play a significant role in this negotiation: the midfielder is not even considering offers from some mid-tier Premier League clubs. The next step is to start negotiations with AZ Alkmaar, a tough club to convince: Reijnders' strong desire will have to make a difference. The Dutch player, with Indonesian origins, plays central midfielder in front of the defence and could be an alternative to Bennacer, especially in the first few months when the Algerian will be forced to follow from the sidelines.
