The AC Milan managers are looking for a striker to strengthen the attack which is led by Olivier Giroud. A few names are being linked. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Alvaro Morata and Gianluca Scamacca are at the top of the list.
Scamacca has been on Roma's radar for a while now already as they seek a replacement for Tammy Abraham who is injured. The latest development in the past few hours is the idea of the Rossoneri to acquire the West Ham player through a swap deal which would involve Divock Origi.
The hypothesis has emerged within AC Milan recently, and the two clubs have already discussed it. However, the idea is not taking off at the moment, mainly because the Belgian striker, who joined Milan a year ago after leaving Liverpool on a free transfer, has not yet made a decision about his future. Nonetheless, he seems inclined to stay in Milan.
The swap deal between Milan and West Ham for Scamacca and Origi is still lacking momentum. It should be noted that both strikers moved to their current clubs just last summer: Scamacca from Sassuolo to the Premier League for around €36 million plus bonuses, and Origi on a free transfer. Therefore, the potential developments in AC Milan's search for a striker in the coming days remain to be seen.
In the 2022-2023 season, Origi made a total of thirty-six appearances with two goals and one assist. As for Scamacca, he had twenty-seven appearances and eight goals with the Hammers before an injury ended his season prematurely, preventing him from participating in the Conference League final, which West Ham won against Fiorentina.
