Fernando Roig, the president of Villarreal, spoke at a press conference about the Spanish club's transfer market, giving several hints about the future and also taking a significant dig at Milan, who are reportedly pushing to sign the Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze. Roig mentioned a previous negotiation with then AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani for Mateo Musacchio (who later joined the Rossoneri, but under during the Chinese era)
"I don't know if AC Milan is interested in the player. But if their interest is the same as when they came for Mateo Musacchio, with Dr. Galliani leading the way, and they said they didn't have money, then we'll eat fideuà (a typical local dish) and go home."
