Andrea Traverso, architect of the new UEFA Financial Fair Play system, spoke about its effects on Italian clubs including AC Milan.
According to Traverso, the new rule should not be a problem for the Rossoneri managemnt, which has taken the right path in recent years. Here's what he said to La Gazzetta dello Sport:
"Italian clubs are the ones that need to be more careful, but this year there has been an awakening. Napoli won the Scudetto through exemplary management. Some clubs, like Milan, have embarked on a virtuous path with excellent results. Others, like Juventus and Inter, are a bit behind but have started to control costs and undertake financial recovery. Roma has stated that it may exceed some of the settlement parameters and will pay a fine instead of selling players. The checks will take place in October."
