Alvaro Morata wants to join AC Milan. The Spanish striker has asked his entourage to resolve his future as soon as possible, determined to return to playing in Serie A and living in Italy with his family. He wants a change, to receive new motivation and feel like a protagonist, preferably without even starting the new season with coach Simeone. However, there are difficulties, with at least three issues to be resolved for the former Juventus player to truly wear the Rossoneri shirt.

Alvaro Morata, who currently earns around 5-6 million euros net per season at Atletico, would need to accept a reduced salary of 4 million euros net per season proposed by Milan for four seasons.

To let Morata leave, Atletico demands payment of the 20 million euro clause, which was introduced in the player's contract after his recent renewal until 2026. The renewal was never officially announced, as Atletico stopped announcing contract extensions for their players. Alternatively, Atletico should consider other solutions, such as a loan with a buyout option, perhaps with certain clauses that could trigger an obligation.

No "Decreto Crescita"
As previously reported in recent days, Milan cannot rely on the "Decreto Crescita" for this operation. This factor makes the negotiation even more expensive (and difficult). Therefore, it will require a significant effort from all three parties involved to try to close the deal.
