AC Milan's new signing this summer, Luka Romero, has presented himself to the media in a press conference. Here are his words:
On Milanello:
"I'm very happy to be here, I've been good from the start, my teammates have helped me right away."
On his position:
"My favorite position is behind the striker, where Brahim Diaz played last year, but the coach decides where I play."
On the future:
"I plan to stay here, I like the environment, I have a lot to learn, and the level here is high. I want to stay here."
On past champions and Serie A:
"There have been many strong players here, like Ronaldinho and Kaka, and also Brahim. Last year, I learned a lot tactically. Serie A is a really strong league, and I've learned a lot."
On Milan's offer:
"I've learned a lot in these years with the first team, I've always trained well. I was playing in the U20s at the World Cup when Milan's offer came, and I immediately accepted. It's a club with a great history."
On the history of Argentinians at Milan:
"I'm here to do well and help the team. I want to give everything, and I feel very good here."
On goals:
"Milan is a team that must win, and I'm here to help. I would be happy with this experience if we win. The season is long, and we take it game by game."
On the jersey number:
"I've always liked the number 18, it's my birthdate and the birthdate of some of my family members, so I chose it."
On Brahim and Pulisic:
"Pioli didn't talk to me about Brahim, but I feel good here. Pulisic? He's a great player, and I think he'll do well here. I have a lot to learn from them, and when I step onto the field, I'll show it."
On the dream of being at Milan, Luka Romero said:
"Being here is a dream for me, training with these players allows me to learn a lot. I really like how the coach works because we work a lot with the ball."
On pressure:
"I've never felt pressure, I've always done what I love: playing football. When I step onto the field, I do it without anxiety or fear. I know Milan is a great club, and I have to show that I'm ready. When an opportunity comes, I'll take advantage of it."
On teammates and Pioli:
"I can't wait to get to know everyone. Leao is a great player, and I've always liked him. I've talked a lot with Pioli, and I'm happy because he always speaks with me, and I really like that."
If he spoke with anyone before arriving, Luka Romero said:
"I spoke with Romagnoli and Reina, who have been here. They told me that Milan is a great club and that I'll be very happy here."
