AC Milan's Belgian attacking midfielder, Charles De Ketelaere, is rumoured to be on the transfer list this summer and in recent days, PSV Eindhoven have shown an intention of signing him on loan.
For his part, though, the player would like to stay at Milanello and get another chance at proving his worth to coach Stefano Pioli and to the club who dished out around 35 million euros to sign him from Club Brugge last summer.
There are, however, two significant obstacles in the player's situation: AC Milan have already signed the versatile American attacking midfielder Christian Pulisic and they are aiming to invest in other offensive options as well. That means that Charles De Ketelaere would have less playing time.
Furthermore, coach Stefano Pioli is considering switching to a 4-3-3 formation which does not include the use of an attacking midfielder. That is also a factor that could eventually push the Belgian even further away from the AC Milan project, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport.
