AC Milan are working hard to provide a complete squad for Stefano Pioli soon. The club management is now focusing on signing Yunus Musah from Valencia. But, they will soon also focus on the striker and right-winger positions.
According to Radio Rossonera, the latest idea for the club directors is Jesper Lindström, a versatile attacking midfielder who currently plays for the German club Eintracht Frankfurt. But, many clubs are also showing interest in him this summer.
With the negotiation for Samuel Chukwueze stalled due to Villarreal's excessively high asking price (the Rossoneri are unwilling to pay the requested €30-35 million for a player whose contract expires in 2024), the names of Arnaut Danjuma (considered more as an offensive wildcard), Gustav Isaksen (the most valued), and Johan Bakayoko have been added to the transfer list for AC Milan's right wing. Jesper Lindström, a Danish talent born in 2000 and coming off two excellent seasons with Eintracht Frankfurt, is also on that list. According to the source, AC Milan could make an offer for Lindström in the next few hours, as he is considered a suitable profile to reinforce an area of the field where the Rossoneri intend to strengthen in this transfer window.
The Bundesliga club, Eintracht Frankfurt, however, want to receive a fee in the region of 35 million euros. However, unlike the situation with Villarreal's Chukwueze, the AC Milan managers would not hesitate to negotiate such a high figure for a player who is a year younger and, above all, has a longer contract. There is important competition, however, as Premier League side Newcastle are keen on him and have no issues meeting the German club's demands.
His natural position on the field is that of a central attacking midfielder, and his best qualities are speed, open-field acceleration, and one-on-one dribbling. For this reason, as can be seen from the player's heatmap in the last Bundesliga season (27 appearances, 1694 minutes), Lindström can also play wide on the right and roam across the entire offensive front.
