AC Milan's head coach Stefano Pioli has rejected the potential arrival of Wilfried Singo. The negotiations with Torino have failed.
According to Tuttosport, the agreement between the two clubs had been reached on the basis of a swap that would see AC Milan sign the right wing-back for 8 million euros while Junior Messias goes to Torino. However, Pioli intervened and blocked the deal.
The Rossoneri coach, in fact, did not want to give the green light for the deal for tactical and numerical reasons.
The 22-year-old versatile talent from Cote d'Ivoire is considered more ideal for a five-man midfield, but not for AC Milan's usual four-man defence. Additionally, the team already has three right-backs (Calabria, Florenzi, and Kalulu), and the missing piece is on the left, the deputy for Theo Hernandez.
