For Charles De Ketelaere and Atalanta, a deal is not yet official, but parties are reportedly close. The Belgian attacking midfielder is supposed to move from Milan to Atalanta on a loan deal that would cost 3 million euros and a buyout clause set at 23 million euros.
Calcio e Finanza has analysed the potential deal from AC Milan's financial point of view: having arrived last year for 35.5 million euros and with a contract until 2027 earning 2.2 million euros net per season, the number 90 costs about 9.98 million euros per year, including depreciation and gross salary. Therefore, for the next season, with the 3 million euro loan, the cost would decrease to around 6.98 million euros.
Finally, Charles De Ketelaere's net value as of June 30, 2024, would be around 21.3 million euros. Therefore, if the buyout clause of 23 million euros is exercised, Milan would make a capital gain of about 1.7 million euros.
