According to what is reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, there is an update on the negotiations between Milan and Atalanta for the possible move of Charles De Ketelaere. It seemed everything was set for the former Club Brugge player. However, a significant obstacle emerged yesterday.
In fact, everything was agreed upon between the clubs: a loan worth 3 million euros with a buy-option set at 23 million euros and bonuses of 4 million euros and a 10% on the future resale.
What has slowed down the process, however, are the high financial demands presented by Charles De Ketelaere's agent yesterday morning. The entourage of the player have asked for an important salary, in case Atalanta do decide to sign him permanently in the summer of 2024.
The player's agents have demanded an important salary increase and also increased their own commissions. Now, as reported by the newspaper if De Ketelaere's representatives backtrack, there will still be room to close the deal. Otherwise, the discussion would come to an end here, also because Gasperini only wants a player motivated to embrace the Nerazzurri's cause at his side.
