AC Milan are in the process of thinning out the squad and getting rid of some unwanted players in order to generate some cash and save money in terms of salary expenses. Junior Messias has officially joined Genoa on loan with an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met. Then, another player who should leave is Fodé Ballo-Touré.
The Senegalese player is on the way out, and after his exit, the Rossoneri will be looking into signing a new left-back to be the backup of Theo Hernandez.
According to what is reported by Calciomercato.com, the former AS Monaco left-back turned down Fulham in recent weeks and is now being pursued by Werder Bremen from the Bundesliga. The Germans, in fact, are in advanced negotiations with AC Milan. However, a definitive agreement is yet to be found. It should be noted, though, that there is important progress being made in the talks. Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada want to collect from this deal around 4 million euros.
Once Fodé Ballo-Touré leaves AC Milan, the Italians will be looking to sign a new player in that position as backup to Theo Hernandez who is the absolute sure starter for Pioli. The name on the radar is reportedly Riccardo Calafiori who is a 21-year-old Italian left-back of FC Basel, formerly of AS Roma and Genoa.
