Fabio Capello, an ex coach who wrote history with AC Milan and now a pundit, was interviewed by SportWeek. Among the questions, there was also some mentions about the new AC Milan squad.
Favorite for the final triumph in the league:
"Three: in alphabetical order, Inter, Juventus, and Napoli. Inter for their overall strength, Napoli if they keep Osimhen, Juventus because they only have the commitment of the league."
On AC Milan's revolution:
"In Milan, I finally admired someone who plays vertically and not horizontally: Reijnders. Today, there's this tendency to make lateral passes to avoid risks, to avoid the coach yelling at you if you lose the ball. This leads to constantly passing the ball backwards, all the way to the goalkeeper. Who touches the ball fifty times per match, while the center forward touches it eight times. Returning to Milan: they have great potential, but every time they lose the ball, their opponents take shots at the goal. The positive aspect is that they have many players inclined towards dribbling, one-on-one play, an aspect of the game that has now disappeared in Italy."
