Fabio Cannavaro has been interviewed by La Gazzetta dello Sport to give predictions about the new championship. The 2006 Ballon d'Or winner who is a former Juventus and Real Madrid player has predicted Napoli to be the Italian champions once again, but he also spoke about AC Milan.
Here are his statements:
"For Napoli, repeating as champions in the Italian league is extremely difficult, and it's no coincidence that only Juve, Inter, and Milan have succeeded in doing so. However, the three big teams, which all remain among the favourites, continue to face some challenges. In this regard, Napoli, having made fewer changes than the others, could benefit. Milan has acquired several interesting players. But for Pioli, the task is complicated. Apart from Tonali, he has lost two key figures: Maldini and Massara – individuals who understand football and know how to navigate both within the club and in the locker room. I believe Milan will miss them."
