Ruben Loftus-Cheek, this afternoon, was the protagonist of a Meet&Greet event with the Rossoneri fans who were present at the AC Milan Store Downtown in Galleria San Carlo. The English midfielder also granted a short interview to the journalists present. Here are his words.
On his first months as a Rossonero:
"It's really nice to meet the fans. The first few months with Milan have been fantastic, and getting the first victory on Monday was perfect. Now we're thinking about Saturday, so all is well."
On the match against Bologna:
"It was a very difficult match. Managing to keep a clean sheet and win was perfect. Now we want to build on that and continue improving."
After a month here, have your goals changed?
"I think as a team and as individuals at Milan, we have a duty to think about winning, whether it's the Champions League or the Scudetto."
On Christian Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek said:
"I've played with Christian for a while. He's a top player and a great talent. Being in Milan is a great opportunity for him to showcase all his qualities and what he can do. It was a perfect debut for him. We want to push each other and help each other improve."
Which teammate has impressed you the most:
"All the guys are fantastic. But Tijjani (Reijnders) is very hungry and has been performing well: he impressed me the most, and he's also a good guy."
On coach Stefano Pioli:
"We have a great relationship, and I hope it will improve when I learn Italian – it's still a bit difficult at the moment. I hope to start learning Italian soon."
On celebrating with former Chelsea teammates now at Milan:
"We were at Chelsea together. It's strange celebrating with these teammates you've played with for a while – it was a nice moment."
On living in Milan, Loftus-Cheek said:
"It's different, it's very hot now. But the people and the fans are fantastic. I can't wait to play at San Siro and feel the fans' passion."
A message to the fans:
"We want to win every game. We have a great team, top players. I think we can achieve important goals this year. We will work as much as possible, and I thank you for your support in the first match against Bologna. I can't wait to meet you at San Siro."
