AC Milan lost two important midfielders and they are Ismael Bennacer and Sandro Tonali. The Algerian is injured while the Italian has joined Premier League outfit Newcastle. However, the Rossoneri has replaced the two players in question with Tijjani Reijnders and Ruben Loftus-Cheek who immediately became starters for Stefano Pioli.
La Gazzetta dello Sport's headline in this morning's print edition reads the following:
"Milan hits the mark. Loftus already growing, Reijnders with style and pace for two. A turning point in the middle."
Two modern and complete midfielders who are appreciated both in front of the defense and in the attacking third: it's not a coincidence that both of them have already provided an assist each.
The Dutchman in particular runs the most on the field. He already enjoys great appreciation from the AC Milan fans.
