AC Milan is ready to conclude a significant deal for its youth sector. After months of negotiations, the club has reached a definitive agreement to entrust the entire department to Vincenzo Vergine.
As reported by Tuttosport, the growth of the youth sector is one of the main objectives in the restructuring of the sports area of any football club. Vergine has always been a close associate of Pantaleo Corvino. Born in San Donaci, in the province of Brindisi, in 1968, he was in charge of all the youth teams at Lecce from 1998 to 2006.
Starting from the 2006-07 season, Corvino brought him to Fiorentina, first as a supervisor and then as the head of the youth academy until the end of 2019.
Vergine nurtured and then launched talents like Federico Chiesa and Dusan Vlahovic. In 2021, he joined AS Roma, where he secured six national youth titles.
