AC Milan's offensive department has been reinforced this season thanks to signings of Christian Pulisic, Noah Okafor, Samuel Chukwueze, and Luka Jovic. La Gazzetta dello Sport focused on how there is a big gap in terms of numbers between the Swiss and Serbian when comparing them to Leao and Giroud who are the absolute starters for Pioli.
As pointed out by the Italian newspaper, Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud have scored 7 goals in total so far this season. The Portuguese has played 493 minutes while the Frenchman has played 441 minutes overall.
Luka Jovic and Noah Okafor, on the other hand, have played so much less. The Serbian played 38 minutes while the former RB Salzburg talent featured in 77 minutes. Neither of them have been able to contribute by scoring a goal.
Pioli cannot always rely on his starters every time to produce positive results. He must manage his team well as he will need all of the players available in the squad.
