The derby between AC Milan and Inter for the top of the Serie A derby continues today. The two Milanese teams play their matches one after the other. First, it's Inter at the San Siro against Bologna, then it will be Milan against Genoa tonight. It is surely early to talk about the Scudetto duel as Napoli, Juventus and Fiorentina are close to the top, as they trail 4 points only behind. But, there is not much room to make mistakes for any of these clubs if they want to be at the top.

As per what is reported by Il Corriere dello Sport, Pioli can smile and look to the future with confidence after the first seven fixtures of the championship. The Rossoneri have won all of their games played in Serie A, except for the unlucky derby, which, as the coach himself said, turned out to be a kind of new beginning for the Rossoneri.

With eighteen points won so far, the Rossoneri are enjoying a good start to the season (despite one bad result in the derby) and, looking at the numbers, it is a good omen for the season: when Milan has collected so much at the end of the year, the title has always come. Now, the times have changed and Inter are not giving up either, and it is precisely for this reason that, despite a very busy schedule, Pioli's team must keep up the pace from now on if they want to give themselves a chance.

It's another chance for Noah Okafor in Pioli's AC Milan lineup

In fact, tonight against Genoa, the keys to the attack will once again be handed over to Noah Okafor, who seems to be already at home in Serie A as he already scored 2 goals in the league so far.

Giroud, after a sparkling start, has started to feel the weight of the games and with the upcoming international commitments, he needs to be managed. Okafor, on the other hand, is eager and was signed for this reason as well: to provide a valid alternative to the French striker, while waiting for Jovic, who needs to get into condition. The trident tonight will be almost like an Olympic relay race with three arrows drawn from Pioli's quiver: we are heading towards the trident of Chukwueze-Okafor-Leao. Mission: to break down the defense of Genoa, according to what is reported by Il Corriere dello Sport.
