Following a dramatic conclusion to the match against Genoa, Stefano Pioli spoke to DAZN regarding the status of his injured squad members. Milan has been without a few core squad members and the Milan manager gave a comment regarding their status for return:
"I hope that the (International) break will bring back Kalulu, Loftus, Krunic. Jovic will be in an even better condition. It will mean that they will be even more fresh in Paris. Against Juventus we will try to be prepared."
Milan are due to face fellow heavyweight Juventus in the next Serie A match. The Rossoneri will be without French duo Theo Hernandez and Mike Maignan due to disqualification from bookings. Pioli had the following comment regarding their booking and absence:
"On the yellow card for Theo I didn't see the foul, I was following the action. He told me he made a normal foul, the only one of the match... He's okay with it."
"It's sad not to have Mike and Theo."
Pioli's Milan have a difficult schedule awaiting them after the break...
Milan will be pleased to have obtained 3 points and sit at the top of the table after eight matches. The following matches will prove to be a difficult path, however, and hopefully recovering a few players from injury will overshadow the required absence of Theo and Maignan during the league match.
