The left-back of Newcastle, Dan Burn, spoke to MilanNews.it about Rafael Leao and Theo Hernandez. On the field for the full 90 minutes at San Siro in the 0-0 draw between the Rossoneri and the Magpies, the Englishman admits that Milan created more and better chances and should have scored a few goals against them.
Dan, was there a particular Milan player who impressed you three weeks ago?
"I like Leao even though maybe in the non-possession phase he can do more (laughs), but with the ball, he's very quick. Then I'm a big fan of the left-back Theo Hernandez, a very relaxed player on the field who then goes very fast when he has the ball. What a quality", said Dan Burn.
But defensively, you might have a little something extra compared to the French fullback. Do you agree?
"I take it as a compliment, but I can't compare myself to Theo Hernandez."
Can we say that Milan deserved to win? Dan Burn said:
"Yes, they had the better chances while we didn't create much. Milan could have scored a few goals, but it's fair to say that we defended well. In the end, we were happy and the Rossoneri were disappointed because maybe they knew they had to win. But a clean sheet in Milan in the first game after a 20-year absence in the Champions League suits me just fine."
