AC Milan club managers are reportedly in talks with Bosnian midfielder Rade Krunic about a contract extension. There is still a gap between the two sides on the personal terms, with the Bosnian asking for 3 million euros and Milan currently willing to go up to 2.5 million euros, including bonuses.
AC Milan's decision to negotiate down is due to the midfielder's age, who is just over 30 years old, but also, as reported this morning in La Gazzetta dello Sport, to the fact that Krunic's current contract does not benefit from the Growth Decree, as he arrived from Empoli in 2019.
A renewal at 3 million euros net would therefore cost Milan 5.55 million euros gross, more than a pillar like Tomori, who, despite earning 3.5 million euros net with the Growth Decree, costs 4.55 million euros gross.
