AC Milan's Olivier Giroud, was interviewed by the journalists in a press conference with Stefano Pioli. Here are the 37-year-old striker's statements before the Champions League clash tomorrow against Paris Saint-Germain:
"The atmosphere? It's a special feeling to return to France. The last time I played here, I got injured, so it's not a good omen for me. But I'm very happy to be back in Paris and to play for Milan. It's always a pleasure to come here."
On a possible future at PSG:
"I'm very happy and grateful to have had the opportunity to play with great teams. When I was young, I was a big fan of Milan and I'm proud to play for Milan. It was like something destined, and I'm very happy to represent Milan. I try to do everything I can to make Milan a protagonist in Europe again."
On Kylian Mbappé, Giroud said:
"I know him very well, we've been playing together for almost six years in the national team. Everyone knows his talent, we know he's one of the best players in the world and we need to focus on him. They also have a very strong team."
On PSG's attackers:
"I've given advice to my teammates but I can't reveal them. Especially to the defenders, who may not fully understand the offensive potential of this team. If we want to have a great game, we'll need the strength of everyone."
On the offensive phase, Giroud said:
"We always try to do our best. We, attackers, need to be effective. In the game against Newcastle, we had many opportunities but didn't take advantage of them. We need to be more ruthless. Even in Dortmund, we had chances but couldn't capitalize on them. The difference lies in small things, we need to correct these little difficulties."
