AC Milan club managers will start 'shopping' for a new striker soon. In fact, a few names are being monitored as there is the need to find a reliable centre-forward who can replace Olivier Giroud who, at 37 years of age, cannot perform at a standard which the fans and the team requires in tough competitions.
According to what is reported by Tuttosport, the primary target seems to be Jonathan David from Lille. His contract runs until June 2025. There are excellent relations between the two clubs in question which could facilitate the deal a little. The Canadian striker, has been on the radar of Geoffrey Moncada for a long time and a possible attempt for him should not be ruled out, even in January. (Taremi from Porto is also a candidate for January)
It is difficult, however, that the French outfit would let one of their most important players leave in the middle of the season, unless they receive a very convincing offer, somewhere in the range of 50 million euros.
In addition to David, there are three other names circled in red in the notebook of directors Giorgio Furlani, Geoffrey Moncada, and Antonio D'Ottavio for next season.
The names in question at Casa Milan are the Mexican striker Santiago Gimenez from Feyenoord, Slovenian player of RB Leipzig Benjamin Sesko as well as the Dutchman of Bologna: Joshua Zirkzee.
