Joshua Zirkzee, the 22-year-old striker of Bologna, has given an interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport where he talked about different things, including AC Milan's interest.
The Rossoblù's number 9 began the interview by saying the following:
"Even though it's only happened in Italy, someone has compared me to Ruud Gullit or Pierre Van Hooijdonk, Sidney's dad, because of my hair. But I am Joshua. Just Joshua."
On links with AC Milan:
"I don't know, but I'm not interested in these rumours... I know that when I walk around the center of Bologna, many people stop me, and we talk."
Regarding the goal against Inter:
"Goal against Inter? After the game, Sommer and I talked; he said he felt a bit guilty for making a mistake, so I don't consider it a perfect goal. So, I choose the one that represents me in every way, against Sassuolo: a heel control and a goalkeeper with no chance."
Zirkzee added:
"As a kid, I watched Ibra, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo the Phenomenon, Van Basten. Later, I played with Lewandowski and Arnautovic, but I never asked them for opinions or tricks. I watched them. I absorbed knowledge, plays. And the rest I put in myself,"
Finally, he returned to talk about his future:
"The road is long, and you have to work hard every day. If you ask me what I prefer between making Bologna great or going to play for a big team soon, I would say the right choice is the first one: making Bologna great. Then we'll see. A 40 million euros release clause in favour of Bayern Munich? Yes, now I know... In Munich, I became an adult, but let's say street football shaped me."
