Today against Lecce, Olivier Giroud will be in the starting lineup as usual. The Frenchman, who turned 37 just over a month and a half ago, continues to be the light at the center of the Rossoneri attack.

Today, with 100 appearances for Giroud in the Rossoneri shirt, it is a good time to look back with a smile but above all to look ahead, with an eye to the future.

The Frenchman will surely want to celebrate it by continuing the result of the Champions League and perhaps being decisive once again.

On the other hand, at the dawn of his 37th spring, Giroud is having the best start to the season since he arrived in Italy, as Tuttosport emphasizes this morning.

In these two years and a few months at AC Milan, the former Chelsea star striker has established himself as the man of the important goals, and today the Rossoneri squad needs him to get back on track in the league, before entering the international break.

Giroud's renewal - There is a will to continue with AC Milan

The striker's contract expires at the end of this season, in June 2024, but the player has the full will to stay at the San Siro for another season. The performances, net of a replacement that has not yet been found, are good, he still scores goals and very nice ones at that. Even for the France national team, he is still the starting striker.

In fact, Giroud does not seem to feel the weight of age and he feels very good at Milan, he immediately felt at home since his arrival from the Premier League club Chelsea.

Precisely for this reason, and for the mutual respect with the club, the contract issue can be addressed even after the expiration and there would be no problems.
