The Turin prosecutor's office has placed AC Milan player Alessandro Florenzi on the list of suspects, according to the AGI news agency.
The investigation is being conducted by the Mobile Squad police. Also under investigation in the proceedings are Nicolò Zaniolo, former teammate of Florenzi at Roma, in addition to Sandro Tonali and Nicolò Fagioli.
The accusation is the unauthorized exercise of gaming or betting activities. This is the charge brought by the prosecutors in Turin against the side player of the Rossoneri team.
The player is accused under Article 4 of Law 401 of 1989, the same provision for which Zaniolo, formerly of Roma and currently with Aston Villa, is also under investigation, as relayed via Calcio e Finanza.
