After a few starts, made possible thanks to the injury of Rade Krunic, Yacine Adli has returned to where he has witnessed almost all the matches since joining Milan: the bench.
As reported this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport, in the last two matches, Adli was the only midfielder available to Stefano Pioli who was never used: against Paris Saint-Germain at the San Siro, Reijnders, Musah, Loftus-Cheek, and Krunic all found playing time.
Against Lecce, Pobega was also in the starting lineup. In short, Yacine, with the entire midfield at Pioli's disposal (excluding, of course, the usual Bennacer), seems to have once again returned to the bottom of Pioli's hierarchy, unfortunately.
Maybe in January's transfer market window, he might decide to play regularly somewhere else. After last year, another season spent mostly on the bench wouldn't be beneficial to his development.
