Former AC Milan centre-back, now at Lazio, Alessio Romagnoli, granted an interview to those at Cittaceleste in which he talked about his transfer as a free agent from the Rossoneri club to the Biancocelesti. Here are his words:
"Why did Milan let me go on a free transfer? I don't know, but it's a question that should be asked to the directors of that time, not to me. I didn't feel abandoned, but I had an agreement with them and then it wasn't decided to continue. They made other choices, I made mine, and it ended like that, very calmly and peacefully."
Romagnoli added:
"I spent seven years with Milan, I've always said it: it's a very beautiful period of my life that I will always carry in my heart. I can only speak well of Milan."
