The president of FIGC, Gabriele Gravina, (and also vice president of UEFA) commented on the issue regarding the investigation into betting involving AC Milan's player, Alessandro Florenzi:
"It's one of the cases I've read about in the press. It doesn't seem to me that there are conditions that could cause concern. We don't have specific information regarding the sports aspect, so we haven't been informed of any negative positions as far as we're concerned."
Gravina continued:
"When we become aware of it, we will adopt, as always, the dual choice of punishing severely but also accompanying it with a recovery process. But for now, we have nothing. I hear about the phenomenon that has been spreading for a long time. To date, I stick to the facts, otherwise, we fall into populism that doesn't benefit anyone. I stick to the numbers, which are of two confirmed cases. For others, we don't have any elements."
