Intriguing news today from Tuttomercatoweb: AC Milan are considering a return of Aster Vranckx.
In the previous season, he made nine appearances in Serie A for a total of 235 minutes. The evaluation for a potential buy-back was quite high:12 million euros. In addition to that, the change in management, shifting from the Maldini-Massara duo to the new course inaugurated by Furlani and Moncada, sealed the player's fate.
Vranckx has shown in recent times that he's returned to a high level after some fluctuating performances; against expectations, he stayed at Wolfsburg during the summer.
It could be a good choice as early as January, given that his contract expires in 18 months. Currently, the player is valued at around 8-10 million euros, but it will also depend on the German club's decision whether they want to part ways with him or not.
In recent months, Aster Vranckx has also revisited the summer transfer window when he was close to Fiorentina (which had reached an agreement with Wolfsburg): "My intention was to leave Wolfsburg. In the summer, I had very positive contacts with Fiorentina; I would have settled in well there. I needed space and trust to showcase all my qualities."
