The Bournemouth club management has reportedly decided its decision regarding the future of their English centre-back: Lloyd Kelly, a 25-year-old player from Bristol who will be out of contract with the Cherries in the coming summer.
The defender's name has been on the radar of Italian clubs for some time, including AC Milan who have already explored a possible move for him, and the same is true also for Juventus.
The idea of Bournemouth is clear: they are not willing to let Lloyd Kelly leave in January, even if it means that he will leave on a free in the summer when his contract finally expires.
This is because coach Andoni Iraola considers him a real cornerstone of his team and the club is of the same opinion: surviving the Premier League is worth over 100 million euros, a figure that is clearly different from what would be the proceeds of a sale of Kelly in the immediate future.
AC Milan and Juventus in Italy are still interested in the player, even to take him on a free transfer in the summer. A left-footed central defender, still young with room for growth and in the prime of his footballing career, Kelly is ready for the big leap.
There are also Premier League clubs interested him. Together with his entourage, he will choose his destination from January.
