Former AC Milan's midfielder, Franck Kessié, signed with FC Barcelona as a free agent when his contract expires with the Rossoneri as he opted to make a move instead of renewing his contract.
Kessié, however, did not succeed in delivering excellent performances on a consistent basis with Barcelona. Now, he is playing in the Saudi Pro League with Al Ahli. In a recent interview, he spoke to the media how he misses the Camp Nou, saying that there are not many like it in Europe, and ignoring the San Siro. Here are the 26-year-old's statements:
"I miss the warmth of Camp Nou and the support of the fans. Playing in a stadium like that, with 100,000 spectators... There aren't many like it in Europe."
Kessie continued:
"I have great memories of my time at Barça. I won two titles in my first year, the Supercopa and the league. And I also have excellent memories of the city, the coaching staff, and the great players I met. I follow all their matches and try to support them from afar. I think Barça has a good team with great players. There are young players emerging, like Lamine Yamal. I hope they win another title."
