The January transfer market approaches and AC Milan managers are already working on finding the right profiles and solutions to strengthen Stefano Pioli's squad. In the attack, Luka Jovic isn't convincing, and that is why there is the idea of trying to sign Jonathan David from Lille in the winter mercato.
AC Milan are very keen on the Canadian striker
According to this morning's report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, the top name in the Rossoneri's wishlist remains Jonathan David, the Lille forward whom the Rossoneri have been following for quite a while.
The club had attempted to sign him last summer. However, the big obstacle was the price tag demanded by Lille: a whopping 60 million euros.
The player's contract runs until the summer of 2025 and therefore, it is clear that the French club can no longer continue to ask for such a high feel.
To avoid losing him for free in the summer of 2025, they might settle for around 40 million euros or perhaps even slightly less. Perhaps a move in January will be possible as AC Milan are hoping to make it go through.
