Tijjani Reijnders quickly became indispensable. The Dutchman, who arrived this summer from AZ Alkmaar, has become one of the key players in Stefano Pioli's AC Milan midfield, as he has been almost ever-present in the lineup: he's one of the most consistent.
Today, Reijnders will face his fellow countryman and former teammate Teun Koopmeiners.
For this reason, La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper has interviewed their former coach, Pascal Jensen.
Here are the coach's words about the Rossoneri's Dutchman:
"His best quality? Reliability. Tijjani easily plays around 50 matches a year without ever dropping his physical and mental level. You put him in, and you know he'll run his 12 kilometers, always making the right play."
On Tijjani Reijnders and Teun Koopmeiners, he said:
"Two footballers and special boys, whom I've been fortunate to see grow up and become great. Teun blossomed first, due to his character: he's not afraid of anything, in fact, I made him captain when he was still very young. Tijjani took a little longer, but he was good at being patient and now he's an international-level midfielder."
