Giorgio Scalvini, the 19-year-old Italian centre-back of Atalanta, expressed himself on 'Radio Serie A' ahead of the match against Milan:
"Inter's Bastoni? No, I've always been inspired by Thiago Silva. I remember when he played here in Italy at Milan: I was still young, but I already watched a lot of football. I do remember him: I liked him a lot as a defender, I liked his presence on the field. Maybe in those aspects where we don't resemble each other, I have to try to steal something from him like his leadership, his presence, and his personality."
Regarding Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud, Scalvini said:
"I only played 10-15 minutes against Rafael Leao two years ago, but seeing him up close, what stands out is the burst he has in the first few meters when he stretches for the ball. Olivier Giroud is a very important player for Milan because he provides a strong central reference in attack. We'll need to defend very well as a unit: if we manage to help each other out, we can contain him well."
