Matteo Gabbia's agent, Tullio Tinti, spoke to Sky Sport, during the Assoagenti assembly held at the Melià hotel in Milan, about a possible return of his client to AC Milan in January. Here are his words:
"Is there a concrete possibility of Gabbia returning to Milan? It's news that you've had, but I haven't yet. Perhaps you know it before me, I'll try to verify... He's doing very well at Villarreal, I think they would gladly keep him. If there's a chance and the clubs are discussing it, I'll talk to the boy. I don't intend to bother the guy about things that are still unclear."
Gabbia's agent continued:
"Injury problems at Milan? Yes, there have been injuries, but maybe they'll recover. Gabbia also had the need to play consistently, and Milan protected him, we're happy, and Villarreal is too. If Milan really needs him, the boy will consider it. You should ask the clubs, as of today, no one has contacted me."
