AC Milan are preparing for the January transfer market, but also for possible moves in the summer if the opportunity allows it. The club will want to sign reinforcements in Stefano Pioli's team to be able to compete at the highest levels.
It appears that Milan aims to acquire two top players from Bayern Munich. One, as previously hinted by journalist Christian Falk, known for his expertise in transfer news in the Bundesliga and particularly Bayern Munich. We are talking about 34-year-old attacking midfielder Thomas Muller whose contract runs until the end of the season, as per Pianeta Milan.
The other player, brought to light by SpazioMilan, is Serge Gnabry, 28, currently under contract until June 30, 2026, but reportedly not in good terms with coach Thomas Tuchel.
Both players are, however, difficult to acquire for Milan as there is competition from the Premier League besides the fact that they currently earn high salaries (Müller earning 10 million euros net per year, Gnabry 9 million euros net per year), but the Rossoneri are willing to try, financing the purchases with the proceeds from surplus sales.
Thomas Müller would be a free transfer, while Gnabry, valued at 40 million euros, could be acquired using the earnings from definitive transfers in the summer: Alexis Saelemaekers to Bologna (10 million euros) and Charles De Ketelaere to Atalanta (22 million euros).
