AC Milan drew Rennes in the Nyon draw for the Europa League playoff matchup set to take place next February.
First, the French team will visit the Rossoneri at San Siro, and then Pioli's team will fly to France.
Florian Maurice, Rennes' sporting director, was interviewed by RMC Sport and commented on the draw.
Here are his words:
"Indeed, an important match awaits us. We'll try to assert ourselves against this team, whose significance we are well aware of. Now, it's up to us to prepare and create an exploit because qualifying would certainly be a feat."
Rennes' director, Florian Maurice, continued:
"The club has been accustomed to playing in Europe for several years, but this time, it's against a European giant. It's an atypical match, and the stadium will be full, as it has been since the beginning of the season. We'll have to be significantly better than we've been in recent weeks."
