AC Milan have been in talks to sign the young Serbian talent Matija Popovic whose contract with Partizan Belgrade expires at the end of this month. Several reports recently claimed that the Rossoneri management is very close to securing the player's arrival.
Now, according to the latest updates from Fabrizio Romano, Premier League side have entered the scene. They are trying to sign the 17-year-old (who turns 18 on January 8) and want to hijack the deal. Talks between the parties are ongoing.
In fact, Matija Popovic was at Manchester City's game last night as they played in Serbia.
As for AC Milan, they are still in talks to try to finalise the deal. Nothing, however, has been done to finalise it.
