La Gazzetta dello Sport published the following headline this morning about Milan and the attendance of the fans at the San Siro:
"San Siro sold out for Sassuolo. The 2023 average is over 70,000."
The Milanese stadium will be sold out (excluding, of course, the away section) tomorrow night for the last home game of the year against the black and greens, a milestone that's not taken for granted given that these are the days of New Year's.
Yet, once again, Milan fans will respond. The average attendance across all competitions in 2023 is truly impressive: 71,957 spectators (Opta data). You have to go back to 1993 to find a similar participation, as relayed via Milan News.
