AC Milan are searching for the right opportunity in the transfer window in order to reinforce the defensive department which is struggling a lot with the injury crisis.
Besides the return of Gabbia which should take place soon, according to different reports in Italy, there is talk about a potential attempt to sign German defender Thilo Kehrer as well.
The former Paris Saint-Germain player, currently plying his trade for West Ham, however, is also wanted elsewhere in addition to Milan.
In fact, according to an update shared by Footmercato, French side Monaco are confident of securing his arrival. The deal, reportedly, should be a loan deal until the rest of the ongoing season. Meanwhile, AC Milan continue to monitor the situation closely.
This season, between Premier League, Europa League, and EFL Cup, Kehrer has played only 391 minutes across 12 matches. According to Transfermarkt data, his value should be at 9 million euros.
The 27-year-old right-footed defender has a contract until the summer of 2026.
