Before kick-off against Empoli at the Carlo Castellani stadium, Matteo gabbia, who recently returned to Milan from 6-month loan experience in La Liga side Villarreal, has spoken to the microphones of Sky Sport Italia. Here are his words:
"These have been beautiful days. I reunited with old teammates, and the new ones have welcomed me well. Now it's time to play; we'll do our best."
"There have been many injured players, but I've seen positive things in these days. The training sessions have been good, and now we have to bring home the three points"
"I was in Milan for the holidays. I tried to stay focused on Villarreal out of respect for the Spanish club, but I'm happy to be back. It's a show of trust, and I'll try to repay the club's confidence."
Gabbia also spoke to DAZN and said the following:
"Some players have changed, but they're all very talented both in terms of personality and sport. They're all available, integrated very well. The group is very strong and united: we all pull in the same direction."
Do you need to convince the club management to let you stay in Milan?
"I have to focus on doing my best. Then, the choice is for the club. I always try to do my best, and then I gather the results."
